End of Season Events

* Sunday May 22 - Annadel ride

Leave at 8:35 as in the past. Please bring plenty of food and water. Remember that Annadel is typically warmer than our area so you'll go through more water and we've got an hour drive each way where you'll want food - bring more than you think you'll need just in case.......

* Sunday June 5 - Local Ride followed by end of season picnic at the Schur's house

Ride will leave from ECHS at 9 and end at the picnic. More details on picnic forthcoming.

* Sunday June 12 - Bike the Bridges ride in Martinez

This is a fundraiser for the Special Olympics sponsored by local police departments, notably our team sponsor El Cerrito PD. Please plan to attend this ride if you are in town. This is a great opportunity to meet members of the local cycling community and let them see how fast you guys are. 25 and 60 mile options available. Team members get free entry but the ECPD would appreciate help with fundraising.

* June 20-24 NICA Invitational camp in Santa Cruz

This is an advanced skills camp for league riders. Boys finishing top 25% in any race and girls finishing top 35% in any race are eligible. See here for more details and to sign up - http://www.nationalmtb.org/nica-invitational-camp/

I was told that spots are filling fast. Several riders mentioned they were planning on attending this. I would recommending signing up soon if you are planning on going. I have signed up as a coach for the week so you'll see a familiar face.

* July 13-15 US National Mtb Championships - Sun Valley ID

Top 15 finishers at the state championship race last weekend qualify to race. Also, top 10 finishers at Sea Otter qualified. If you are interested in racing nationals and either missed these events or didn't place as well as you would have liked, there is a qualifier race coming up in Napa. You can also check the USA Cycling website for locations of other qualifier races.
